International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) Grows Again

July 16th, 2008

Hello friends and welcome back to ArriveNEWS, the industrial trade shows blog. If this is your first visit to ArriveNEWS, make sure you read what this site is all about and how it helps connects industrial buyers and suppliers around the globe utilizing the Web’s first industrial expo known as the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS).

New Exhibitors Added

I’m happy to say yesterday we just added an additional 90+ exhibitors on the official page of IITS 2008 at the link above. It appears the IITS is really beginning to take notice and that’s very exciting for us and everyone else participating in this event. The most recent exhibitors include manufacturers of thermoplastics, grinding balls, welding machines, several suppliers of pipes, valves and fittings, superabrasives, industrial chemicals, granite, hydraulic equipment, fasteners, window glass and a wide range of other industrial and construction products. You can check out the On-line Exhibiting Pages of these companies or search our complete Exhibitor List by company name, product keyword or locations.

Once factor we noticed is more US-based companies every week are beginning to take part in the trade show. Previously, Asian companies, particularly China and India were by far the leading region featured as an exhibitor of IITS. American manufacturers and other industrial suppliers across the globe interested in becoming an exhibitor of the International Industrial Trade Show are encouraged to do so now while the show is still free. The Original Industrial Trade Show On-line

While IITS continues to become more popular we noticed a few copycats of the event attempting to claiming to be the original on-line industrial trade show. I won’t post a link to the two sources we found, they don’t deserve one, but I will say without doubt the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) is the Web’s first virtual-based exhibition specifically intended for the manufacturing, engineering and construction communities. The show was first introduced in December, 2004 by the Industrial Leaders Group (ILD) and introduced by ArriveNEWS in March, 2006.

The Search Engines Are Taking Notice As Well

You can find additional information covering the most recent news about IITS on Google as well as older details about the tradeshow. You can also check out IITS on Yahoo. Keep in mind not all the links are relevant to the International Industrial Trade Show. Just look for the sites with the domain ArriveNEWS.com as well as top news sites such as PR.com, i-newswire, IndustrialPR.net and many others. The point is IITS is getting noticed everywhere and companies are beginning to see the potential of such a trade show designed for industrial professionals.

Keep It Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S.)

Recently we received an email from a Web site designer indicating he can make IITS look much better in its design. His offer was to add flash to the page and other gadgets to ‘juice up’ its appearance. Although it all sounded good in theory, we decided to kindly decline. Why? We learned most professionals that visit trade shows on the Web are most concerned about connecting with the right people (networking) and not so much about the site’s design. Naturally, exhibitors want results and of course showcasing their products in the most effective, user-friendly manner is important. Although our objective is to keep it simple, we are currently working on utilizing additional tools such as on-line videos to help display and demonstrate the products, services and technologies of IITS exhibitors.

Speaking of On-line Videos

The truth is our plan to add videos to the exhibiting pages of each exhibitor has long been coming. For over a year now we been talking about videos are the best method to showcase products and companies participating in the trade show. This Spray Pressure Video from YouTube detailing industrial spray applications is a good example of the type of videos soon to be showcased by our exhibitors. Such demonstrations will allow visitors of the trade show to make a more accurate decision on whether or not the product and company can meet their needs. Obviously, a video will not sell a product alone, but it certainly does help and in today’s interactive Web virtually every company can and should utilize them to help get their message across.

Until next time,
